How to introduce Education for SDGs in the subjects of the BSc in Environmental Health at SUZA
Target group: Lecturers in the field of Engineering and Architecture who, aware of their responsibility to contribute through their teaching practice to the training of people and professionals committed to the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, want to integrate sustainability into the planning and design of the subjects they teach.
Number of participants: 20-30 participants
Description of the workshop:
Sustainable development is one of the greatest challenges facing our society in the 21st century. Unsustainable practices are increasing social, economic and environmental inequalities, degrading our planet and worsening our quality of life. Higher Education plays a fundamental role in moving towards this model of development insofar as it equips students, future professionals, with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to re-orient social structures and systems.
The main objective of the workshop is to provide lecturers in the field of Engineering and Architecture with the necessary guidelines and tools to reorient their teaching practice so as to incorporate sustainability in their subjects.
Each participant, taking as a basis the context and learning objectives of a bachelor’s or master’s degree and their own previous experience, will:
